Wow. Where to start with this one. Truly a piece of Jordan brand history. It's a sample from the F/W collection of 2001 with the original tag still attached. Never to my knowledge was it actually released. I feel like a lot of sample stuff is only cool just because it's a sample. To me this is a different scenario. This concept is actually sick. Zipper detachable lower shroud for extra protection on the mountain. Full closure mittens that unzip and turn into a regular long sleeve jacket. Couple pockets scattered throughout. Condition is technically deadstock/unworn, just a bit faded from storage. The 3M strips along the sides of the sleeve have basically disintegrated over time. Sat in a musty basement for 24 years before I rescued it.
Cool seeing pieces like this and the design process. Something to interesting to note, only one grommet around the neckline. Presumably to see what it would look like with a cinch closure for the hood, but they never got around to doing it.
The owner of the store I interned at in Brooklyn NYC personally gave me this jacket. Well, he tried to give it to me, but I told him I had to give him some $ for it. So I didn't pay much for it, but it also has sentimental value so I wouldn't know how to price it.
